Happy Holidays Bella brides! We have another beautiful wedding to share with you, from bride Susanne. She looked stunning in a soft lace A-line gown.
In early 2015, Susanne got engaged in Virginia’s romantic wine country.
“My husband surprised me with a weekend getaway. To add to the excitement, he had our best friends come and surprise us the next day for a day of wine tasting! I couldn’t have asked for a better surprise engagement.”
When Susanne walked into our store, she admits she wasn’t sure what she was looking for in a dress. As she tried on dresses, the list of requirements came together. Classic elements, nothing too traditional, and something comfortable to dance the night away. The Alma Novia gown checked off all the boxes! It had beautiful lace detail on the bodice and the back, and the scattered bead work gave it a touch of sparkle.
Susanne’s shopping entourage all loved the dress on her, including one very special guest — her 92 year old grandmother. “She didn’t get to shop with my mom for her wedding dress, so I wanted her to experience it with me and she had a great time. I also knew I could count on her to give her honest opinion.”
Surrounded by their loved ones on the big day, Susanne couldn’t stop smiling! She had such an amazing wedding experience, not only on the big day but also during the planning process. We wanted to share her words of advice:
“There’s this notion that wedding planning is stressful and can be an awful experience, but it does not have to be. My husband and I really enjoyed planning our wedding! We stuck to a budget, stuck to a timeline, and we took all advice/opinions given to us with a grain of salt. With wedding planning everyone has their own opinions and advice they will want to give you (whether you ask for it or not). Be polite and listen, but pick and choose which advice you follow because at the end of the day, the wedding is for you and your partner. Make decisions that reflect you as a couple and that will make you the happiest on your big day.”
Congratulations to the newlyweds!
