March 2014 Bride of the Month: Debbie Brennan

March 2014 Bride of the Month: Debbie Brennan

We are ready for spring here at Le Bella Donna, but we love looking at photos of our beautiful winter bride, Debbie Brennan! She looked stunning on her wedding day, January 19, 2014.

Debbie’s husband Jim proposed to her on a Saturday morning. She admits that she was still in her ugly, oversized pajamas, and her hair was on top of her head. Debbie initially thought something was wrong with Jim because he was shaking so badly when he got down on one knee. He completely caught her off guard! He apparently bought the ring only 66 days after they began dating, and waited to propose to Debbie. It gives us the chills just hearing about their love story!

Debbie’s wedding theme had a wintery and elegant feel. Her colors were navy, champagne, and fuchsia. The fuchsia incorporated the memory of Debbie’s mother, who passed away from breast cancer. Her gorgeous dress designed by Allure truly pulled the wedding together. She admits that the dress was the most difficult part of her planning process, and she had bought two other dresses at two other bridal shops before coming to Le Bella Donna, where she claims she met “the dress fairy” who truly encouraged Debbie to think about what she wanted in her wedding dress.

Debbie’s bridesmaids included her younger sister, Alyssa as her maid of honor, her childhood best friend Evelyn was her matron of honor, three close friends Leah, Lori, and Melanie were also her bridesmaids. Her sisters Melissa and Linda took the place of her mother, and gave Debbie away with their father. Debbie and Jim were married at St. Martin of Tours Roman Catholic Church, and their amazing reception was at Vie in Philadelphia, PA. They also had photos taken at some Philadelphia landmarks, including City Hall and Reading Terminal Market.
