The story of how Nicole and Bill met has us smiling. The two met at a bar through mutual friends. At the end of the night, Nicole remembers telling her girlfriend, “I hope I never have to see that guy again.” The following week the girls went out to happy hour, and sure enough Bill was there. No sparks flew, so their thoughtful friends planned yet another night out. But, Nicole still wasn’t impressed. “For 3 months he kept asking me to hang out and I refused. Then one night he snuck a kiss and that was it, I was hooked.”
Way to go Bill! Who doesn’t love a guy who knows what he wants?
When it was time to pop the question, Bill had Nicole go on a hunt, searching for something he lost. When she came across a ring box in their junk drawer, Nicole asked Bill if she was meant to find that or if she had just ruined a surprise. Bill answered with a question of his own “so do you wanna get married and stuff?” He could not have said anything better! “It was perfect in our own little way, no big production but i knew he meant it with all his heart.”
As the planning began, Nicole told Bill she wanted a barn wedding. “He didn’t really argue it but the day we were driving to the venue he was miserable. When I asked him what was wrong he said ‘I really don’t want to get married in a barn, it’s going to smell like horse poop’” Poor Bill actually thought he would have to say his vows among livestock in an actual operational barn on a farm. But we love how supportive you are Bill!
The barn venue worked out, and Nicole walked down the aisle in a lace sheath wedding gown by Sophia Tolli. She had her best girls at her side, dressed in jewel tone dresses.
Congratulations Nicole and Bill!
