The Le Bella Donna Bride of the day is Francesca! Francesca is a part of the Le Bella Donna family, daughter of our wonderful consultant Charlene. John and Francesca got married this past September at the Ballroom at Ellis Preserve in a gorgeous, lacey Martina Liana gown.

Francesca and John met at the Public House in Philadelphia in 2013. John invited Francesca and her friends on a pub crawl a few weeks later where they really clicked. They remained friends for two years until John asked Francesca on a date. On their first date, the couple went to Teca in West Chester.

Two years later, John and Francesca returned to the site of their first date and John proposed! His proposal was adorable and sweet; he tied a sign around their chocolate lab puppy’s neck that asked “Mommy will you marry Daddy?” When they went to John’s mother’s house to do what Francesca thought would be just showing her the engagement ring, it turned out that there was actually a party waiting for her. Tons of family and friends had gathered on the lawn to celebrate their engagement.

Before Francesca began her search for her gown, she thought she wanted a fit and flare style gown with beading and a full skirt. Once she tried on dresses like this, though, she found she did not like that as much as she imagined she would. Luckily she was able to find her perfect dress with us. She says that she experienced a feeling like she hadn’t in any other dress and “it just felt so right, it felt like me!”

Francesca’s favorite part of shopping for her dress was getting to share the experience with her mother, mother in law, grandmother, and close friends. Francesca says that her mother is her “best friend” and she “had to take her to every appointment, and it’s a good thing that she did! While Francesca’s mother, Charlene, was giving insight based on her career as a bridal shop owner, Le Bella Donna consultants took notice and offered her a position at our boutique. She said yes and we are very happy to have both Francesca and Charlene as a part of our family.

When asked what her favorite part of her wedding day was, Francesca could not pinpoint one specific part because the entire day was so amazing! She focused on taking it all in and enjoying the whole day.

Francesca’s advice to other brides is to not worry about the small things, especially things that might go wrong, but are out of your control. She was half an hour late to her ceremony, but she didn’t let this bother her because she wanted to thoroughly enjoy her special day. Francesca also advises brides to “have fun!”

Congratulations Francesca and John! We wish you many years of love and happiness together!
