Our Le Bella Donna bride for today, Kristen, tied the knot with Anthony on July 14th at the beautiful Blue Bell Country Club, looking resplendent in an Essense of Australia sheath gown.
Kristen and Anthony met in high school, though they never dated despite a little bit of an unrequited crush on Kristen’s part. Fate brought the two of them back together after college when they ran into each other at a bar, and the rest is history! Our two lovebirds dated for five years afterwards, and during a romantic trip to Long Beach Island Anthony asked the big question! During one last walk on the beach before they left, he surprised her with a ring and just one little question. Kirsten says she was “completely shocked”, and loved getting to spend the rest of the weekend celebrating the exciting news with friends and family.
When it came to finding the perfect gown, Kristen says she actually didn’t have a specific dress in mind, and just wanted to focus most on being “comfortable and pretty.” While she didn’t particularly care for it when she first saw her gown on the rack, Kristen says after working with Debbie and trying other gowns she ended up being “totally obsessed with it!” With it’s beautiful train, subtle sparkle beading and allover lace, it’s easy to see why it’s such a stunning gown! We always love working with open-minded brides who get to explore all kinds of styles before finding the one that fits them the best!
Kirsten says of dress shopping in general that it was “one of the best days of her life”, and that every dress was prettier than the last. She especially loved getting to see her mother’s reaction each time she came out of the dressing room in a new gown, and getting to spend that special time with family new and old.
Kristen describes her engagement as being perfect, even with a few small hiccups like the trolley she and Anthony had hired bailing on them one week before the big day. In terms of advice for future brides, she says to make sure to do everything you want in your wedding, go big since it’s a once in a lifetime event, and to make sure to enjoy every second of it! Her personal favorite moments were when her husband saw her in her dress for the first time, and getting to dance all night with friends, family, and loved ones.
Congratulations Kristen and Anthony! We wish you many years of love and happiness!
